Construction noise

Construction noise typically generates high noise levels for relatively short periods of time. In many cases noise controls are required and may take the form of acoustic enclosures and barriers especially when construction work is 24 hours a day.

Noise monitoring may be required to meet Development Consent Conditions. Day Design uses noise loggers to monitor construction noise 24 hours a day.

Our engineers can provide Construction Noise and Vibration Management Plans to implement reasonable and feasible noise controls in accordance with the NSW EPA’s ‘Interim Construction Noise Guideline 2009’ and/or Australian Standard AS2436:2010 ‘Guide to noise and vibration control on construction, demolition and maintenance sites’.
